Program Administration

Job Description

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services designed to support individuals with
    disabilities in community living settings including person-centered planning for members.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of program activities and make adjustments as necessary to ensure
    optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as agency policies
    and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain quality standards and mitigate risks.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff, including direct support professionals.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous professional development within the program.
  • Collaborate with support coordinators to develop individualized support plans (ISP) for clients.
  • Monitor and update ISPs as needed to meet the changing needs and goals of individuals served.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost containment.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to assess the quality of services provided and address any deficiencies
    promptly.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the program.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, their families/guardians, support coordinators, and
    other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the Chief Operating Officer and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention and emergency response procedures.
  • Ensure staff are trained in crisis management and prevention techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress, incidents, and service delivery.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Prior experience in program management or administration in a healthcare or human services setting.
  • Knowledge of Iowa HCBS regulations and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals and individuals with disabilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and record-keeping software.
  • Ability to perform duties that may require lifting, bending, and physical assistance to clients as needed.
